Alumni Group

In partnership with the Mines Alumni Association, we are proud to support the Leadership in Social Responsibility Alumni Interest Group.

Has your career involved stakeholder engagement, community development or conflict resolution, sustainability, consumer product safety or responsible application of science and technology? Have you been involved with the Peace Corps, World Vision or one of the many NGOs engaged in capacity building, disaster intervention or foreign aid programs? If so, then you have been involved in one of the many aspects of Social Responsibility. The Mines Leadership in Social Responsibility (LSR) interest group is seeking to connect with Mines alumni, professionals, faculty and students with prior experience and/or an active interest in social responsibility. Our group focuses on finding more alumni willing to share their stories of success, who may have an interest in sharing their story through active participation in the classroom, engaging with student on-campus activity and interest groups, or helping to sponsor an active project, internship or other engagement.

Being part of this group can help you stay abreast of social responsibility best practices and hear lessons learned from other alumni in social responsibility or humanitarian sectors. This can benefit the work that you are doing for both personal career development and the greater social good. This will be a group where you can find inspiration and thought-provoking conversation.

Being a part of this group will also provide you with an opportunity to give back to Mines. Your experiences are relevant and encouraging for current Mines students and fellow alumni. This group will provide you the opportunity to teach others what you wish you had known during college, just after graduation, and in the years following. Your knowledge, network, and unique role are all needed at the table.

If you would like to attend events such as happy hours and lectures, visit relevant classes and campus activities, or be kept in the loop about current happenings on campus, please complete this online form. We will also provide opportunities for you to connect virtually if you live outside of Colorado.

Specific questions can be directed to the interest group contacts listed at the right.
