In partnership with the Mines Alumni Association, we are proud to support the Leadership in Social Responsibility Alumni Interest Group.
Do you find yourself dealing with questions of public perception, stakeholder engagement, community conflict, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility in your professional life? Have you worked in a leadership capacity with development work or overseas service, such as part of the U.S. Peace Corps? Would you be interested in networking and meeting with other Mines alums and faculty who do so as well? The Alumni Association, working with interested faculty across campus, would like to pilot a group that will connect Mines alumni, faculty and students working in the areas of leadership in social responsibility or corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Being part of this group can help you a stay ahead of social responsibility best practices and hear lessons learned from other alumni in social responsibility or humanitarian sectors. This can benefit the work that you are doing for both personal career development and the greater social good. This will be a group where you can find inspiration and thought-provoking conversation.
Being a part of this group will also provide you an opportunity to give back to Mines. Your experiences are relevant and encouraging for current Mines students and fellow alumni. This group will give you the opportunity to teach others what you wish you had known during college, just after graduation, and in the years following. Your knowledge, network, and unique role are all needed at the table.
If you would like to attend events such as happy hours and lectures, visit relevant classes and campus activities, or be kept in the loop about current happenings on campus, please complete this online form. We will also provide opportunities for you to connect virtually if you live outside of Colorado.
Specific questions can be directed to the interest group committee members.
